Havering Inter Schools Cross-Country Competition

On a rather chilly Tuesday 7th November, we took 4 teams of Prep children to Stubbers Adventure Centre for a morning of Cross-Country competition. For our children, it was their first time competing against other schools in this sport so we went with the expectation of trying their best and enjoying the experience. Our children gave their all and enjoyed the races - for many of the Form V children, it was their first time running such a distance. They did us proud with no complaining and showed great sportsmanship. Each race was comprised of about 150 children from across 27 schools.
A special mention must go to Leila Jones in Form IV who took the entire field by storm in her race and came in first with no other runners anywhere near her - a phenomenal achievement.
Our best team result was 12th out of 27 schools for the Form III/IV girls. Full results can be found here.
