Sam Mileham, Attended 2001 - 2010

I attended Gidea Park College between 2001-2010. I then went on to Southend High School for Boys and then attended Coopers' Company and Coborn School.

The main thing I have probably achieved is I have represented Great Britain in Triathlon at two European Triathlon Championships 2015 and 2016, a World Championships in 2016, and have qualified to represent Great Britain at the European Aquathlon and Triathlon Championships this year. In 2014, I also became British Youth Age Group Triathlon Champion. Since then I have been nominated for 2017 Young Triathlete of the Year by the biggest Triathlon Magazine in Britain. I was also nominated for this award last year. I am also competing in the junior elite super series across Britain aspiring to be an elite triathlete.

I am currently living in Australia for six months training as an elite triathlete trying to make it as a professional. I managed to win the European U20 Triathlon Championships earlier this year which was a great result.

I decided not to go to uni straight away as I wanted to put everything into pursuing this sporting career for a year while I’m still young and in good shape.
